It must be stressed:- MFG&C is NOT a solar heating system as such.
The prime function of MFG&C systems is for the efficient and pollution free cooling and internal environmental control of modern buildings NOT as another form of solar heating, however, quite secondary to it's main function, solar energy absorbed by the "Fluidized " facades may be used for heating the building when required.

Fluidized Cladding features:-
In its simplest form an insulation cladding panel with a double skinned panel on its outward facing surface (like a radiator), through which an aqueous fluid may be pumped. The panels may be connected together to form the building enclosure. Another version utilizes a second double skinned panel on the inward facing surface separated from the first by thermal insulation, through which a second aqueous fluid may be pumped,. Two forms of construction are shown later.

For Fenestration areas; windows:-
Fluidized Glazing consists of a glass-Fluid-glass cell through which an aqueous fluid is pumped. The spectral characteristics of the fluid-glass combination are designed to approximate to that of the human eye, thus ; Fluidized Glazing appears to be transparent, yet intercepts and absorbs most of the incoming solar radiation and outgoing infra-red radiation from the building ; Solar control coated glass may be used to considerable advantage in combination with the fluid cell (such as Saint-Gobain/ Vegla Coolite), resulting in a double glazed unit, consisting of; fluid cell-air space -glass. With radiant heat transmission less than 50% of the best available solar control double glazing. Light transmission is high around 50 - 60% ; heat energy transmission may be lower than 5% when light transmission is sacrificed a little. Sound transmission is very low.

Energy may be used or dissipated - Including Internal Energy
Direct solar radiation impinges on two facades or less for less than half a day whereas the thermal and radiative losses are from ALL facades ALL of the 24 hour day, thus the available losses may far exceed the solar and internal gains of a building. See :- Area Dilution Principle
Solar energy is not reflected away but used when required and thermally dissipated from all facades when not.
Internal heat gains from people, PC's, printers, equipment and lights may be dissipated from the facades at night or other appropriate times.
Energy storage capacity (water) only 0.65 - 1.4 % of building volume, approximately 12% of basement volume.

Facade Colour Change :- Simply by adding visual dyes to the fluid, the appearance of windows or of course whole facades can be changed to virtually any desired colour.
Variable light transmission :- Neutral visual density dyes may be added or removed and for automatic shading photochromic dyes may be added to the fluid.
Variable thermal insulation - "U" value :- Truly variable Transparent Insulation (TI). Variability of "U" may be greater than 1000 : 1. for double fluid cell. see construction
Condensation :-Unique ability to solve condensation problems - swimpools, conservatories.
